Being confined inside a building for long periods is draining. At least, that is true for me. After a while, I am itching to be outdoors, to enjoy the cool breeze of the morning, the warmth of the sun in the afternoon, or the beauty of the night.
One of the high points of my day is sitting out on the balcony with a book, a drink, or some snacks, especially in the morning or the evening, to get some air. It is an invigorating routine.
When I want to go out, I really want to be “out” – in a park, a garden, taking a walk, and if sitting, preferably at an outdoor spot. Not exchange being inside at home for being confined once again in another building.
Of course, it isn’t always possible or practical, but I really prefer to have the sky over my head as often as possible.
