The Rise of the Empire of Mobility
From days of long ago came a legend, the legend of Mister Mobility, a mobile phone enthusiast who started a blog called Mobility Nigeria. That website was later to grow into two, namely MobilityArena.com – for mobile reviews, comparisons, and analysis, and Mobility.com.ng – for latest news and info about mobile products in Nigeria.
Today, that legend grows some more as we kick-start work on the 3rd website in the family, a family that I now call the Mobility Empire. I like the ring of the word, “empire”.
Perhaps it is time I drop the “Mister Mobility” tag and take on the toga and swag of an emperor. My very robust sense of self adulation loves it. The only problem I have is that “Emperor Mobility” doesn’t sound as cool as “Mister Mobility”.
Wait a minute. “Emperor Mo” sounds cool too; right? Let me know what you think. Feel free to send in any wild ideas you might have.
In the meantime, I can imagine that you are wondering what the 3rd website in the empire is all about. Sorry, folks, but if I told you now, I’d have to kee you.
But there is nothing hidden that will not be unveiled eventually. You will find out soon enough what we are up to with Mobility.ng. It is the most expensive domain name of the 3, so it better be something that will turn me into a billionaire. I can’t shout.
By default, my goal is to build platforms that allow me the freedom to roam and wander – not be stuck at an office desk. I must be able to work from anywhere – inside a luxury bus heading to Warri, inside a roadside buka at Lokoja on a stopover en route Abuja, or from inside a restaurant in Texas. This leaves me with limited options. The big BUT this time is that I am willing to do something totally different for a change. So, I have spent a lot of time mulling over what to do.
If your curiosity is piqued, mission accomplished. Sooner or later, you will know. In the meantime, is it Mister Mobility, Emperor Mobility (yawn), or Emperor Mo?
PS: To be honest, I think you could slap any title before “Mo” and it would sound cool. My good fortune.
